Meet the Secretariat

VIKTORIA WULFF-ANDERSEN

Secretary-General

Viktoria is a sophomore from Danbury, Connecticut who’s thrilled to serve as this year’s DISCON Secretary-General. With a modest history in MUN—two years as her high school’s team’s president and one year competing as a member of the DIRA Away Team—she’s excited to take on the unique challenge of coordinating DIRA’s first intercollegiate conference since the pandemic. Outside of DIRA, Viktoria is pursuing a major in Political Science, minor in Sociology, and certificate in Policy Journalism and Media Studies. She also enjoys classical literature and watching horror movies.

CAITLIN DOUGHERTY
Chief of Staff
Caitlin is a sophomore from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, studying Computer Science and Political Science. After serving as President of her high school team, she is excited to have the opportunity to share her passion for Model UN as this year's Chief of Staff. Outside of DIRA, Caitlin enjoys reading, exploring Duke's campus, and trying to win the affection of Peaches and Mamabean.

Director-General
Jazper is a sophomore from Dalian, China majoring in Political Science and Public Policy. He has been involved in Model UN for the past few years, having travelled to conferences in Asia during high school and having a current involvement with the DIRA Away Team. Outside of DIRA, he enjoys traveling, music, and watching basketball.

Co-Director of Crisis
Benji is a sophomore from Arlington, Virginia majoring in Public Policy and Statistics. Benji’s been involved in MUN for nine years competing and helping organize club activities. Benji’s a big baseball fan and plays strategy board games in his free time. Benji looks forward to making DIRA more fun and more competitive in the upcoming year, especially as the Co-Director of Crisis for DISCon and the Model UN Away Team Co-Captain.

Co-Crisis Director
Michelle is a sophomore from Charleston, South Carolina, studying Economics, Public Policy, and Russian. She's delighted to serve as a Co-Crisis Director. Outside of DISCon, Michelle also serves as the editor-in-chief for Borderless (DIRA's foreign relations journal) and a member of the Model UN Away Team. She loves researching global affairs, reading, watching the Tour de France, playing skribbl.io with friends, and making Greek food with her mom for the holidays.

Director of Communications
Abhi is a junior from Phoenix, Arizona majoring in Economics and Public Policy with a minor in Chinese. Abhi has been involved in MUN since high school and has been a member of the DIRA Away Team since 2021. As DISCon Director of Communications, he works to coordinate school outreach as well as to help other Secretariat members in a support role. Outside of DIRA, Abhi enjoys travel, politics, cars, following current events, and golf.

Director of Delegate Affairs
Anisha is a junior from Charlotte, North Carolina majoring in Public Policy. She’s been involved in Model UN since high school and served as DISCON secretary general last year (and is excited to finally make an intercollegiate conference a reality this year!) Outside of DIRA, you can find Anisha trying to befriend every cat she meets, bemoaning the mediocrity of her Charlotte sports teams, or finding secret spots in the Duke Gardens.

Ella is a freshman from Austin, Texas studying Economics. She is interested in international relations, journalism, and social media marketing, so she’s excited to capture behind-the-scenes content as Co-Press Secretary. In her free time, Ella loves hiking, baking, sewing, and admiring the beautiful Duke sunsets.

​Co Press Secretary
Karen Dong is a first-year undergraduate student from Dallas, TX who's interested in majoring in Economics or Neuroscience, with a certificate in Decision Science. She's excited to serve as co-press secretary this year and looks forward to spreading the word about DisCon through multimedia platforms. Outside of schoolwork, Karen enjoys singing with her acapella group, playing the piano, overspending on matcha, and watching documentary films.
