While all delegates who attend this conference have a unique prowess to offer, DISCon likes to honor the delegates who go above and beyond during the course of the conference. Thus, DISCon offers both individual awards at closing ceremonies, determined by committee crisis directors and committee chairs. DISCon has historically valued collaboration, adherence to character, and a healthy mix of realism and creativity when deciding who will be supplementarily recognized at our closing ceremony.
There are three types of individual awards gifted at DISCon: Honorable Mention, Outstanding Delegate, and Best Delegate. Each committee will receive one Best Delegate award, one Outstanding Delegate award, and up to two Honorable Mentions. Ergo, each JCC will receive two Best Delegate awards, two Outstanding Delegate awards, and up to four Honorable Mentions.
Only delegates who abide by both the DISCon XIII Delegate Code of Conduct and the COVID-19 Policy will be eligible to receive an award. Delegates must also be present and active at all committee sessions (excluding emergency situations) and demonstrate substantive knowledge of the material in order to receive an award.
